About Lemma's

Lemma's Bakeshop is inspired by my paternal grandmother, Lemma Johnson McEachern (pronounced "Lem-muh McCann"), who was an excellent cook and baker.  Born in Longstreet, Louisiana in 1900 she was a school teacher before she married my grandfather and moved to Vivian, Louisiana.  

I remember the delicious aromas coming from her kitchen from early in the morning in preparation for dinner (what we now call lunch!).  She made everything with tender loving care, and I hope to share that same TLC in each baked good from Lemma's Bakeshop.

Baking is my meditation, and my passion.  After years of baking for friends and family, their encouragement and requests for more sweet treats inspired me to open Lemma's Bakeshop.

While I have no immediate plans for a store front, we sell at several local farmer's markets.  We hope to have shipping nationally available this holiday season.
